Context

This unit aims to develop students’ understanding of digital games and digital game culture. The three-week unit is divided into three parts: digital game trailers, digital game reviews, and digital game characters. Each part (a week in length) comprises a series of activities that scaffold students towards the completion of a summative written assessment. The unit does not involve any gameplay and where examples of gameplay are used, these will be drawn from games rated no higher than PG (using the Australian classification system). The Unit is appropriate for Year 7-9.
